Learning to walk with God through an upward, inward
and outward journey
Whether you are new to the church or you have been attending for some time, you may at some point wonder what the purpose of Life Cells is at our church.
In Mark chapter 1 when Jesus called His disciples to follow Him, what was He calling them to? Firstly He was calling them into relationship with Himself; an intimate love relationship, He was also calling them into community with one another and He was calling them to join Him on His mission of bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth. It was within this threefold environment of; an upward journey of relationship with their Heavenly Father; an inward journey of living in a community of faith; and an outward journey of serving and ministering to those outside the Kingdom that the disciples grew in faith and maturity and learnt to follow Jesus.
Put simply; being a follower of Jesus or a disciple, is learning to walk with God through an upward, an inward and an outward journey.
With the Bible as our guide and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit; the vision for cell groups at Greenacre Church of Christ is to create communities that inspire and equip people to live radical lives for Christ. We hope and pray these groups become places of uncontainable life; where people grow in their love for God, pursue God-given dreams in the context of community and meaningfully reach out to those outside of the church.
