About Us
With 30+ years of serving the Canberra community in Belconnen, Ginninderra Christian Church seeks to offer a place where people can come and expect to find mercy, grace and hope. Most importantly, a place where people can hear the gospel of Jesus Christ preached, as found in the word of God, the Bible.
Ginninderra Christian Church is headed up by Senior Pastor Andrew Steele and supported by a team of elders.
Ginninderra Christian Church is a member church of Bethesda Ministries International.
What We Believe
We believe in historic, orthodox Christianity and adhere to such statements of faith as the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed.
We believe God is the centre of the universe and beyond—and controls whatever comes to pass.
We believe the Gospel is the good news of God’s saving grace towards sinners through Jesus Christ. Jesus, the eternal son of God, took on human nature, lived a sinless life, and died a substitutionary death for sinners.
We believe that salvation is a free gift that comes only by God’s sovereign grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Anyone who turns from their sin and trusts in Jesus Christ and His death on their behalf receives forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.
We believe the Christian faith should apply to all of life.
We believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, fully inspired and without error.
We are optimistic for the future, with strong faith in God’s purposes for civilisation.
We believe God has equipped us for victory.
We believe in the triumph of the Lord Jesus Christ in every sphere of human life and endeavour.
We believe in the universal church, composed of genuine followers of Christ, which exists to worship, serve, and glorify God.
